AEP Art Citizen

The purpose of this club is to promote and generate interest in the many aspects of science. It also provides a chance to promote a closer relationship among students from different grade levels.

Students are selected by Mr. Hall in regards to their creative work, their effort and thier good conduct expressed in class to participate in Art Citizen. Setting THE example for creative expression and excellence, Art Citizens expand on classroom projects usually allowing them to focus more on their creative ideas, and explore the other possibilities creative expression might have. Art Citizens also participate in art contests and any other endeavors that might allow them to be artistically expressive.

Bells Chorus

Students in the hand-bell ensemble meet every Tuesday to make music. They prepare for various shows that take place in the school and throughout the community. The instrument they use is a triangular shaped bell plate with a striker attached. Students learn to read music and follow the cues of a director, skills needed to become successful musicians.

The students in chorus come together every Wednesday to sing. They prepare for various shows that take place in the school and throughout the community. This year the chorus incorporated playing marimba-type instruments in their performances, adding a unique flare.

Student Council FEA
Student Council Shows off Kendale's Values:
  • They can work independently and are responsible.
  • They should have a 1 in effort and an A in conduct as they are representing their class and should be role models for others.

Beginning in 3rd grade Student Council members are selected in August by their classmates and 3rd grade classroom teachers. They then continue on through 4th and 5th grade. In 5th grade they can become an officer as well. This year our goal is to help the environment. Some activities that we have participated in is advertising for recycling, creating a container to recycle ink cartridges and cell phones. We have adopted new trees and are taking care of them! We have also helped the PTA in several of their fundraising efforts. Finally, we were responsible for raising over $5,000 dollars for United Way to help our community!

FEA is an organization that encourages elementary students to explore the field of teaching. Our dedicated students assist teachers in classrooms, aid community projects (recycling), and promote positive images to schoolmates.
