Welcome to Kindergarten at Kendale Elementary School! My name is Helene Rosenbloom and I am very excited to be your child’s teacher this school year.
Kindergarten is an important time in your child’s development. It is the foundation for the rest of your child’s school years.
The Kindergarten program will have a variety of experiences that will help your child to learn and to become responsible and independent. Kindergarten has a demanding curriculum. The children will be developing skills through academics and activities in Language Arts, Reading, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Art, Music and Physical Education.
In order to be prepared for school each day, your child will need to have all the necessary supplies (listed on the Kindergarten School Supplies List). The “Blue Parent-Teacher Communication Folder” (which is available at the school store) will be used for all class and school notices, Home Learning Assignments, our daily behavior chart, any notes that you and I need to send to each other, and any class work that your child can take home. Please check your child’s folder on a daily basis.
Good communication between home and school is essential in order to provide assistance and support for you and your child throughout the year. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me by sending a note in your child’s blue folder. By working together, we can help your child succeed and make this a fun-filled, memorable year.
I look forward to working with you and sharing this special year with your child! I know we will have a wonderful year together!
